Connectivity gap

In the world, 7.1 million households have no broadband infrastructure, primarily in rural areas, and this excludes many prople from a meaningful participation in the digital world. Furthermore, even when broadband infrastructure is available, 18.1 million more households cannot afford the connectivity cost. The lack of universal and affordable access to the internet widens inequality, limiting access to financial, health, and communication services.
